CharlotteRegistered Veterinary Nurse

I have wanted to work with animals for as long as I can remember, and so it was a dream come true to qualify as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2016 after five years studying and working in practice. I have always felt that I have a natural rapport with animals, so when the opportunity arose in 2018 to work at Sandhole - a place where the human-animal bond is so important - I couldn't refuse.

Being an RVN is extremely rewarding, and I absolutely love every aspect of my job (although if you made me choose my favourite bits, it would be surgery and feline medicine and behaviour.) My colleagues at Sandhole are so supportive - it is like being part of a big family and I'm proud to work with such brilliant, caring people.

Outside work I enjoy riding Niamh, my Connemara cross cob, playing the piano, keeping fit and travelling. I also have a fluffy tabby called Esme, who I rescued after just a couple of weeks nursing - definitely one of the perks of the job!
